Puerto Ibáñez
This communal capital is located on the northern shore of Lake General Carrera. Its economy is based on livestock, agricultural crops, and local crafts, such as the Cacharritos de Greda (clay pottery).
Thanks to its microclimate, which is influenced by the lake, the area is fertile and holds great tourist appeal. Notable attractions include:
1. The waterfalls of the Ibañez River
2. The Cerro Castillo National Reserve
3. Archaeological sites such as the Paredón de las Manos del Cerro Castillo
These sites contain significant vestiges of the Tehuelche culture.
